Pastor Nick was raised in Niagara Falls. He graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College (Rochester, NY) majored in Religion and Philosophy with a minor in Ministry. Pastor Nick earned a Masters of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University (Dallas, TX) and has completed his Doctorate of Ministry at Candler School of Theology (in Atlanta – part of Emory University) studying Biblical Interpretation and Proclamation. Both Nick and his wife Carmen [Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care as a Chaplain] are ordained elders in the United Methodist Church and the proud parents of two young children: Nathan, 10 and Nadia, 8. Pastor Nick enjoys spending time with his family, studying the Old Testament, drinking coffee, working out at the gym, and rooting for the Philadelphia Flyers.
She first studied organ with Helen Vrionides on Long Island. Further organ lessons were with T. Richard Patterson and Carol Boltz.
After earning a B.S. In Music Education with a Vocal Major at SUNY Fredonia, Mary served as organist and or choir director in several area churches. Her current position, since Summer 2003, is at First United Methodist Church of Westfield.
In addition to church music, Mary maintains a private studio of vocal and piano students. She also is piano accompanist for vocal and instrumental majors at SUNY Fredonia.
Mary Matteson provides piano and vocal entertainment at several local senior residences. She does the same for weddings, funerals and banquets.
